Loving the timezone mixing around 1:00 onwards! While I do sort of hear the Touhou influences, the track gives me much stronger Heartache (UT) vibes due to the instrument choices, especially considering the way the track starts 8-bit and then moves on to add strings/drums.

Mackievellian responds:

Thanks you verr much :D.

A calm, relaxing track - could definitely imagine this as a menu screen track! I do have some things to point out, though:
- The saw(?) playing the main melody from 0:10-0:30 is way too loud in the mix, which becomes especially noticable when the other main lead comes right afterwards and is at a more pleasant volume. Consider lowering the volume of that first saw next time you're using it.
- The triangles playing the chords could use a bit more variation; maybe use broken chords in some parts? (i.e. chords where you don't play all the notes at the same time, but switch between one/two at a time)
- There's a quite loud pop in the drums right at the end of the audio file that caught me off-guard, especially since you'd already done a fade-out.

(On another note: you're in luck, you're on a site with literally tons of game devs to bump into :V )

Jumbs responds:

Mixing is not my strong suit, thank you for the good detailed constructive feedback. Cheers SeaMaid!

Very mysterious vibe, I like it a lot! Especially fond of the violin solo.

That said, since this is a sequel to another song, maybe you should link to that one in the description for convenience/comparison?

Everratic responds:

Thanks for the review!

It seems you found it already, but I posted the song - it's below credit and info.

Snyggt jobbat, hördu! Känns väldigt intensiv trots farten. Har lite problem med att förstå texten dock.

(Nicely done, dude! Despite it being so slow it sounds really intense. Have some trouble understanding the lyrics, though.)

etK responds:

Tack, really glad you like it!! :D

This ain't half bad! Didn't know MuseScore could give this good results on its own (I like using the program for sheets but for whatever reason the audio always comes out as garbage on my end, especially with crescendo/descendo... then again I haven't updated it in forever)

There are only two things I'd remark on;
- the track comes off as more uplifting/relaxing than sad. Mostly due to the chord progression used and the strong beat. The song itself is still good but just thought the tag looked off.
- This track has A LOT of reverb on it; certain instruments sound like they're being played in a cave (like the oboe in the end section). Maybe fiddle more with individual instruments' reverb next time and try to find a middle ground!

This is a cool and relaxing song. The instruments remind me of The Sims-music, and the general mood of the song makes it seem as something you could actually hear in one of those games.
One thing that could have been done differently is how abrupt the ending feels. I can't help but wonder if it got cut off by the music software you're using. (I recommend fixing that problem by adding a bit of noise a few beats after the song is supposed to end, and then cut the noise out while "polishing" the file.)

AEPfx responds:

I love the sims music so that a mega complement. Yeah I just didnt put any reverb and no time to fade out me bad.

Hobby musician with the occasional doodle. Was very active here 2014; since 2018 I've been poking my head back in from time to time.
